Our client is seeking experienced lawyers with 2 to 5 years experience to assist a high profile litigation team in a secondment position with a federal government department.

$720 to $1050 daily rate Canberra

Lawyer – 2 to 5 years – Baseline Clearance – $720 to $1050 daily rate – 10 month contract

The Role

Our client is seeking experienced lawyers with 2 to 5 years experience to assist a high profile litigation team in a secondment position with a federal government department.

The role will require the successful candidates to assist with various tasks across a wide variety of work areas. This will include (but is not limited to):

  • discovery
  • evidence and trial preparation
  • mediation preparation
  • ministerial taskings
  • ad hoc advice and support to branch
  • working closely with senior stakeholders in the dispute resolution team as well as senior and junior lawyers to respond to other litigated and non-litigated claims and legal policy matters

Please note there may be some travel involved in support of the branch’s activities.

The Requirements

Legal qualifications, a current practising certificate and a current Baseline security clearance are essential.

Previous experience working in a federal government litigation team would be highly regarded.

Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to provide support and end to end management of procurements for a high-profile Commonwealth department.

Daily rate of $730 to $855 inc super Canberra

Procurement Specialist – $730 to $855 daily rate inc super – NV 1 Clearance Essential – 12 to 24 month contract

The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to provide support and end to end management of procurements for a high-profile Commonwealth department.

  • end to end management of approaches to market;
  • executing and analysing contract efficiencies;
  • conducting panel arrangement investigations and analysing requirements;
  • contributing to the development and maintenance of process and procedures;
  • managing all documentation and ensuring all files are uploaded in the appropriate systems and databases;
  • supporting procurement activities and contracting enquiries and identifying procurement risk and liabilities;
  • communicating effectively with technical and non‐technical stakeholders; and
  • drafting business cases to enable contractual and procurement activities.

The Requirements

Commonwealth Government experience and a current NV 1 security is essential.

Experience working on large, high-profile projects would be highly regarded. Legal qualifications and experience are desirable.

Our client, a law firm based in Canberra, is seeking an experienced Commercial Advisor to provide procurement, contracting and tender development advice for one of their high profile government department clients.

Daily rate of $730 to $855 inc super Canberra

Commercial Advisors – $733 to $855 daily rate inc super – Baseline Clearance Essential – contract until 30 June 2021

The Role

Our client, a law firm based in Canberra, is seeking experienced commercial advisers to provide procurement, contracting and tender development advice for one of its high profile government department clients.

The Duties

The key responsibilities will include:

  • developing and executing commercial strategies, including procurement planning;
  • conducting market research, industry engagement activity and approaches to market;
  • developing procurement-related documentation including appropriate procurement templates, schedules, correspondence, reports, submissions, plans and strategies, risk analysis, and other contract management documentation;
  • conducting and advising on procurement processes, including leading tender evaluation activities and contract negotiations;
  • advising on management of existing contracts, including drafting and reviewing contract correspondence;
  • ensuring procurement and contract management processes are compliant with legislation and departmental procurement policy;
  • managing stakeholder input to procurement activity and contract management; and
  • accurately completing work within agreed schedules and quality requirements.

The Requirements

Legal qualifications and experience are desirable as well as 1 to 5 years’ commercial experience. Experience working on large, high profile projects would be highly regarded. 

Commonwealth Government experience and a current Baseline security is essential.
